Please note that each artist has agreed to give 30% of their profit to the youth program, the Public Art Africa initiative that provides arts education in schools.
Mentors
Emmanuel Isiuwe is a Nigerian Artist based in Lagos. He has taken part in several exhibitions both locally and abroad, including the Hellenic Images, 54 Nigerian masters 2007 at the Greek Embassy, Lagos, the Millennium Exhibition at the Quintessence Gallery 2000, The Exposition de'art at the Republic of Benin, French Cultural center 2004, Nimbus art Gallery 2005, and a joint exhibition titled Our World.
Modupe Mary Oteju has a unique ability to blend expressive art with floral pattern techniques, cultivating a distinctive style that positions her as a figurative floral pattern artist. In her practice, florals are more than mere decorative elements; they symbolize beauty, which in turn evokes emotions that positively influence the mind.
Obafemi Oluwatoyin Christiana is a sculptor and visual artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. As a sculptor and visual artist, she draws inspiration from personal observations and interactions, utilizing diverse media such as metal and fiberglass.
Azeez Aliu Olalekan is a Multidisciplinary Visual Artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. Azeez expresses his creativity in Painting, brand design, Character creation, Comic book Creation, Art direction, Illustration, and motion graphics. He curated an Art Exhibition for UR4Africa in conjunction with Nima Muhimanchi Artists in Ghana 2016.
Mentees
Iwu Chiezugo Kester is a multidisciplinary artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. While specializing in painting, he continues to explore diverse artistic media and approaches. Sustainability is a key aspect of his practice, with a focus on using recyclable materials to create works that tell compelling and socially relevant stories. Working across drawing, acrylic, oil, and mixed media, Kester creates works rooted in Impressionism while developing a distinctive visual language that captures mood, movement, and atmosphere.
Olasunkanmi Emmanuel Ayomide is a Lagos-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice centers on ballpoint pen drawings on paper. Rooted in impressionism, his work captures mood, depth, and human experience through intricate line work and highly detailed compositions. His artistic inspiration is drawn from history and real-life stories, which he transforms into compelling visual narratives.
Benjamin Akinsoji is a figurative painter based in Lagos, Nigeria. Working primarily with acrylic, oil, and mixed media on canvas, his practice is inspired by the techniques of figurative masters in art. Akinsoji is best known for his distinctive figurative language, which captures human daily life activities and their surrounding environments, figurative works that evoke deep emotional and social narratives.
Odesola Idowu Isaiah, professionally known as Harmony, is a Nigerian visual and non-visual artist based in Ibadan, Oyo State. His practice blends skill with expressive depth. Influenced by Fauvism, Harmony works with oil and acrylic paints, textile design, and performance art, with a strong focus on portraiture that explores identity, emotion, and human experience through bold colour.
